vizio lcd or lg plasma?

Q. I'm looking for a new hdtv. I've been looking at the vizio 42 inch 1080p. The whole reason I want the tv is for my PS3, and to upgrade from my 32 inch magnavox. The 1080p would be great for the ps3, up its not that big of name. I am now looking at a lg plasma 42 inch 720p. I'm not concerned about burn-in, so which should I choose?

A. LCD's are cheaper these days, and plasmas still have a burn-in problem.

I got a very nice LCD monitor awhile back (no TV tuner, since I get my tv signals from a cable box anyway - why pay for something you don't need???). An Olevia 37" for under $600. It's FABULOUS! Only 1080i, but I'm not thinking about going HD DVD just yet anyway, and 1080i is just fine for my HD cable box.

Which HDTV LCD TV should I get for my Dorm ( This is the first HDTV i'm going to get )?
Q. I'm about to go to college and dorm there, and about to get an HDTV mostly for gaming with my Xbox 360. Over the summer i only managed to make 600 bucks. I'm thinking of getting this tv

or just go to walmart and get a Vizio, which my friend is persuading me to do.

A. Check out this list of HDTVs under $500, which has some that would probably be perfect for your dorm, since they're all relatively small - and within your budget.

If you're looking for bigger - but a bit more expensive, here's a list of HDTVs under $1000 (some are under $800) that are all 32 inches or bigger, 1080p, brand name, and have high customer ratings on Amazon.

What's the going rate for 32" HDTV's?

Q. Just curious...right now I'm looking at a new Symphonic 32 inch for $400. Is that a good deal or too high? Thanks for the answers in advance.
It's an LCD HDTV if that makes a difference.

A. Considering that quality 32" LCD TVs are over $900, yes. But you're buying a TV that has a higher probability of failure and most likely a poor warranty and no service after the warranty is over. See the link below. If you buy this TV, I hope you're one of the few that will still have a working set two years from now-good luck.

plasma vs lcd vs led lcd hdtvs?

Q. im planning to get an hdtv soon and was wondering what the real difference between plasma, lcd and led lcd screens are in terms of resolution, contrast ratio, refresh rate, or well just overall image quality. and which type would you recommend for gaming. lastly any particular brand you can recommend?

A. The final decision as to what type of flat panel television to purchase (LCD or Plasma) is really up to you here are pros & cons of each for your decision

Pros of Plasma
- Better contrast ratio
- better ability to render deep blacks, more color depth,
- better motion tracking (response time)
- more availability in very large screen sizes.
Cons of Plasma
- more susceptible to burn-in (although this is not as much of a factor now, due to technology improvements in the past few years)
- more heat generation (as well as more power consumption)
- screen glare in brightly lit rooms
- heavier weight, and more delicate to ship.
Good brand that I would recommend for Plasma is Panasonic or Samsung

Pros of LCD
- LCD television advantages include no burn-in susceptibility
- cooler running
- less screen glare, more functional at high altitudes
- longer display life (although improvements are being made in Plasma screen life)
- looks better in brightly lit rooms
- less power consumption than Plasma.
Cons of LCD
- Lower contrast ratio
- not as good rendering deep blacks
- not as good at tracking motion (although this is improving, especially with the implementation of 120Hz refresh rates (and some now offer 240Hz) on higher-end models).
Good brand for LCD that I would recommend is Samsung or Sony

whats are differences between LED HDTV and LCD? which one is better?WHY?
Q.

A. LED and LCD have pretty much the same sort of quality, at the end of the day it is not a big enough difference to worry about to much, and most people can not even tell the difference between a LCD and a LED monitor.

Personally I prefer LED and LED in tests generally performs better, and has a better quality image for a more expensive sort of price.

best LCD HDTV for my money?

Q. I want to buy an LCD HDTV 40"- 42" and spend no more that 1200.00
What is the best TV out there for my money?

A. Look for a good Samsung one. They will give you the best picture quality for the dollar out there. And its not a budget picture quality, its an amazing picture quality. They just don't over charge you to death like Sony.

Sharp Aquos is also a really good choice. They make very strong panels that review very well. As Samsung changed its business practices, Sony could no longer buy its LCD panels, and is now buying the Sharp ones (the ones used in the Aquos) line.

If you have access to a Costco that would be your best bet. They get their own models made, but are usually great prices for the features you get. You just have to dig through the specs as their model numbers aren't the typical ones on all the other sites/reviews.

I would look for a Samsung LN40A630 or LN40A550. I think those might be within your price range. Or for a Sharp, try the Sharp Aquous LC-42D65u.

What's the best LCD 42" HDTV for the money ?
Q.

A. For the best bang for the buck I'd highly recomend Vizo. I've seen several diffrent "budget" HDTVs and continously I've been impressed with Vizio's monitors. THey genreally ofer the best compromose between ultimate quality and reasonable prices. I'd check out a few electronic review articles such as c-net or home theater magazine for a good professional review.

sharp vs samsung vs toshiba HDTV?
Q. I'm in between these
- Sharp 46" Class LED-LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV, LC-C46700UN - $999
- Toshiba 46" Class LED-LCD 1080p 240Hz HDTV, 46SV670U - $1099
- Samsung 46" Class 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, LN46C630 - $989

Which one is the best option overall these choices?
Samsung LCD over Sharp LED??

A. 3 Mid-HI END 46 INC LCD.
Samsung and Sharp are equally quality and reliability is this range .Sharp use own Japan made 46 inc LED display panel. one of the best in colours display.but if you compare side by side with Samsung 6 Series , our eye will not get the difference.
Toshiba mid-hi end models just okay. not up to Sharp standard as this moment. technically 240 HZ is better than 120 HZ to " hide " away the motion blur. but that only on " paper ". you don't really see the difference .
above 3 . Samsung and Sharp same class. Toshiba is out.
consider New Plasma technologies by Panasonic. with out burn in issue. life as good as LCD , is 60,000 hours. low power consumption.0 response time/600HZ with out any motion blur.PREFECT in colours quality.pure deep dark and Black colours.non of above 3 LCD or any LCD TV able to reach Panasonic quality.
