Will this affect my picture quality?

Q. I just purchased a 42'' LG 1080p 120Hz lcd hdtv... but i've heard that the closer u are to a tv the worse the image will look...the couches are almost 4-5 feet from where the tv will be, will the quality be bad from where we are viewing it

A. I think that may be true with some of the older tvs, but I haven't heard anything about that being a problem with the newer ones, especially an HD.... Pretty sure you're fine where you are.
