Q. I just bought a Vizio 26in 1080p HDTV adn I want it to last me. What is the best way to make sure my tv last long.
A. Take it back and get a better quality TV. A vizio is basically a WalMart type LCD tv. I had one and it lasted me only 3 years. I bought a LG after (way better quality) and I find it helpful that there are so many places that can fix LGs that if any problems happen I can take them almost anywhere. Plus Wal Mart is known for quality. Those TVs are made cheap. But if this isnt an option, an LCD tv is pretty much like any TV. Just dont throw anything at the screen and keep the default settings set. They normally are the better settings
Do Vizio LCDs have good quality?
Q. I know Vizios are generally cheaper then other HDTVs but i was wondering if Vizio TVs still have good quality. I'm going to get a 26" LCD so if you could say how good Vizio TVs are that would be great. Thanks!

You should decide for yourself. Generally you get what you pay for. As for picture quality, it is often in the eye of the beholder. Remember that if you purchase a TV in store, they are displayed out of the box with the factory settings. You may be able to replicate the picture of a more expensive set on a cheaper one if you can make adjustments to both to give the optimum picture (based on your judgment alone). Remember don't stand too close. Stand at the distance from which you would be watching at home (if possible).
Good luck.
