What are the best settings for the 47-inch Vizio SV471XVT 240 HZ LCD HDTV?

A. Get a HD TV calibrator. Some DVDs and many Blu-Rays come with free calibrators on them. Those can be a free way to get a great picture out of your TV.

Also, I would recommend turning off all forms of Sharpness. You can't make a 1080p image sharper and it will create many artificial edges that can distort the image. It may take some getting used to, but you'll be seeing a sharper image without sharpness settings turned on.
